North Mitrovica's new church 1: this is the new Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Demetrios the Great Martyr, which was under construction when I visited. The church was consecrated on Saint Demetrios's Day, the 10th of November 2005; about 2,000 members of the Serbian Orthodox community of north Mitrovica attended.
